Nutrition and Body Composition
All fitness programs, from general weight management to highly competitive and rigorous athletics, must be supplemented with a well-designed nutrition program for optimum results.
At Excel Fitness we offer value-added nutrition information because the best fitness, health, and conditioning regimen is beneficial only if the body’s engine is properly fueled and hydrated. It’s like the wheels on a bike—if one wheel is faulty, you’ll end up with a dysfunctional or at least inefficient bike.
We can work with you to explore the role nutrition can play to help you operate at peak efficiency for every training session, recreational sport workout, or competition. We want your key energy systems properly stocked at all times. We can also offer suggestions for nutrition and weight management.

- Principles of healthy nutrition—optimal choices for busy lifestyles
- Weight management while maintaining energy and eating satisfaction
- Changing perspective on food
- Macronutrient balance: carbohydrates, fats, proteiny
- Optimum daily calorie intake for desired goals (food log recommended)
- Integrating energy use and training
- Timing meals, snacks, and fluids to maintain energy balance throughout the day
- Identify and maintain a body composition capable of maximal power output with minimal excess weight
